Now what?
Remeber The Final Results of my TMJ? and I was all a twitter because my neurologist was at long, long, LONG last give me Botox injections for pain management? It's been almost 2 years we started this pain management thingie, 2 years of seeing one specialist after another; so close to relief!
*pfffttttt*
So much for that idea. I knew it was too good to be true, I just received a letter from my health insurance, they denied the request for the script of Botox.
Which means I either pay for it out-of-pocket because why on earth would I have MEDICAL INSURANCE if I could do this to begin with?
- or -
Send them proof that "I have tried using a formulary/preferred alternative medication which failed," and then they will review my request once more.
*le-sigh*
I knew this was too good to be true not to mention my face hurts like holy hell today. So ya, my appointment had been set for the 7th to have the injections done but now, I don't know what's going to happen. And of course it's too late in the day to call my doctor's office today so I will have to wait until Monday to call her up and see what's the next step to get this approval done!
Meh. 20 more minutes and I can go home. Where I can take stronger pain meds.

Ya, I called the doc's office today. Seems there's nothing I can do short of paying for the botox out of pocket which I cannot do. It really sucketh.
