Okay this is from Reign of Fire, not the best of flicks but hey who cares?! It's got a bad ass dragon and Christian! Besides I just love this scene where Quinn blithely pours iodine on an open wound because he was told it would help disinfect the wound, the fact it would STING LIKE ALL HELL was sort of left out of the conversation and well, his character finds out the hard way about iodine. :D

Besides everyone knows there's more than just a 'buddy' relationship between Quinn and Creedy. *winks & nods* AND everyone knows after Creedy, Denton wants in on some of the Quinn action. *yuppaaa * nods more*

Just stating obvious facts here.

Of course they've already changed the story from the books, Sonja was blond and more of the fairy book tale Princess - it was after all why Lucian was attracted to her. It was her mom and Viktor's wife, Illona who was the warrior type.



But Rhona Mitra in my opinion will be a kick ass Sonja regardless of the story change. And of course her screentime dad and My all time favorite Elder, Viktor!



It really ticks me off that folks are whining and bitching Kate Beckensale won't be in the movie and all I can say is THANK GOD!!! I can't stand her, couldn't stand her character and YES PEOPLE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL that is Underworld, the story line goes Viktor choose Selene becase she reminded him of Sonja! It's not the the other way around! Sonja is NOT the knock off of Selene! Get your fricken facts straight!

And I say again THANK GOD Kate Beckensale won't be in the movie because quite honestly she killed just about every main character there was in the original story line. So YES! THANK YOU the power that be Miss thinks she's the reason UW did so well and can't act with (one) her mouth shut or (two) a gun in her hand WON'T BE IN THE THIRD INSTALLMENT!!!!

and on topic that is not Selene related, Steven MacIntosh will be back to play Tanis! Yaaaayyyyy! And Shane Brolly will be back to play Kraven! Michael Sheen as Lucian FUCK'N YEAYYYYY!!!! ANDDDDD! Kevin Grevioux will be back toooooo! Damn Wiseman should have left the man to produce Underworld II, maybe the fandom would still have all of the characters still around and I do mean all of the characters and not just Wiseman's wife aka Kate Beckensale who as Selene is now free to run around in daylight to pop out half breed baby with her bitch of a hybrid boyfriend, Michael.

So PLEEEEASEEEEEE Patrick Tapopoulous don't screw it up like Wiseman did!

I understand, doesn't mean I have to like it

I suppose I should take a good healthy does of mine own pep talk. When Elz had his eye surgery last year, yes it may have look awful at the time - it didn't bother me because well, I used to be a trauma junkie and an ER geek. I've seen far worse than a surgical procedure. But it bothered the heck out of Elz.

Over time because of a childhood accident, Elz's left eye slowly adhered to the inside of the orbital socket limiting his eye movement and hindering his vision not to mention it kept his eye from closing completely. So after YEARS of this condition he gained the courage to have the procedure done to correct it. Yes it was successful, he has full range of movement of his eye once more, his vision improved yet it wasn't very successful in the long run in allowing him to close his eye completely. If anything now he has a rather permanent droop and his eye is easily irritated and turns bloodshot red.

This drives him absolutely nuts! and why he wears his sunglasses in public. He thinks everyone stares at his eyes, which honestly I don't notice unless it's truly swollen and looks about ready to explode it's so red. He's done two surgeries now, the original to fix the range of motion and the second to fix the horrible droop the first surgery caused. But the droop remains.

So what's your point Raven?

My point is, I can't stand the way my face looks. I know because of genetics, I have a very round face to begin with. I am half Navajo, quarter Eskimo and quarter Russian - so yes I have a very high and wide cheek bones, round cheeks and a pointy chin. But with the escalation of my TMD, inflammation has my face at times appearing like those chickmonks who stuff their cheeks to maximum capacity not to mention it hurts like holy hell!

Granted these last few months of PT and constant use of Traumeel and Advil helps with the inflammation, I don't like the way my face looks. I don't smile if I can help it, a grin is the most you'll get out of me these days. Not to mention it takes a lot of effort to actually be able to smile and too much talking will set off the inflammation again.

Like yesterday, I had to answer the phones in the afternoon. It was a really slow day - thankfully - but what additional talking I did has me very tight and sore today. I WAS up to 12mm on my Therabite but I've had to back it down to 8mm because it simply hurts too much. And the damn inflammation is back and I don't like the way my face looks even though people would be polite and say, "You look fine!" just like I tell Elz, even though I mean it. He still looks as handsome to me today as the day I met him. His eye doesn't bother me but I fear my face and all the changes I've gone through these last 25 years of having this TMD has changed me for good and I don't like it.

It's Thursday!

Seriously, whyyyyyyyy do the kittens like to lick my toes!

Raven is so frickn hungry it's making me dizzy. Okay maybe the dizziness is also because of the pain in my head and face!

Ugh....

When the doc did the injections lastweek he told me to be sure to keep up with the TheraBite, not to stop because this is the critical time to keep using it. Okay fine, the day after the injections I was back down to 4mm. I wasn't disappointed just expecting it considering how much it hurt last week.

I was diligent about using the TheraBit over the weekend, maybe too diligent for yesterday I got up to TWELVE milimeters!!!!! The most I've been able to do since I started using the blasted thing. But today, maybe I pushed it too much. Because OMG.It.Hurts.

Traumeel is Raven's best friend. A nice long nap with a cold pack followed by the heating pad would be Raven's next bestest friend but that's not going to happen. It makes it hard to think when my head hurts so much. I have PT tomorrow and then I get to answer the phone when I get back. Joy.

So now I'm wondering, like my massage therapist tells me - and I agree - there should be a degree of "Good pain" to push past limits that hold us back. So do I keep the TheraBit at 12mm and deal with the pain or back it down to a more less painful measurement.

I was also reading on MSN news about foods high in protien, which is what I need to help with the facial muscles and of course aside from meats - grass feed meats rather than corn feed - a lot of dairy products were mentioned. Nice. BUT! Greek style yogert was mentioned, now when I visited dear Hubby the yogert didn't bother me, not like the yogerts here in the states, so the question is, where do I find Greek style yogert. I know!!!! Dear Hubby should bring her loving Wifey some! *nods* This sounds like the perfect plan.
