Happy Samhain

I think this year was the only year I couldn't find a REAL black candle. It's more than common to find a black dipped candle but a solid made black candle. Pfffttt...

Happy Halloween all!

I'd totally wear these shoes!

and on this day let's not forget the Warlocks as well:

Sure it's kinda a Cheesy movie but guh! It's Julian Sands!

GAhhh Iz ded! Julian Sands AND Bill Nighy! Raven's two favorite Blonds. *insert copious amounts of squeee'age*

Okay you comicbook folks out there, anyone remember Adam Warlock?

He was one Raven's first comicbook infatuations. Ta everyone!

EDIT! Completely Stolen from Allejandro!

Bless you Allejandro. Bless you!

Pass the soap please

Because I'm jealous of Mr. Stephen and his Imaginary boyfriend(s), Raven decided she wants a boy too!

I don't want a "Boyfriend" simply because I have a man in my life thank you very much along with two additional boys and even all my cats are boys - crimmey sakes! If it weren't for Miss Tigger whom adopted us, I'd be the only girl in House Pena.

But I digress, back to the Boyfriend or as Raven wants, a Shower Buddy.

Okay we'll discuss the whole tighty whities in the shower at a later time. Just so long as I have someone who'll soap up My Ink then lotion it down afterwards is what Raven wants. *nods* Someone with the right shoulders, hands and hips to help take good care of my Ink.

There, took care of the undies. Time to watch the water run. ^^

Did I mention Hands AND Hips...

TOO DAMN FAR AWAY!!!!

Crimmey! Too much reused footage from the first movie and NOT NEARLY enough of new stuffffffff! *cries*

Good ghodddddd! The music.... Raven just about had an experiance of the good kind from this music alone.

Oh yeahhhh Raven's gonna have a Veryyyy Good Birthday.

Ohhhhh yessssss - yes I will.

Six Years Later

I don't think I've mentioned of late how much I absolutley love my boys. They are my pride.

I know, I know, probably when I was about Mer's age I'd roll my eyes at such fluffy expressions, but it's true. They're the reason I get up and live.

Clan Pena! Circa 2001'ish(?)

and Clan Pena Circa: This morning! Can't ya just see it in their bearing, "Mom's doing it agian, taking *yet* another Picture."

But you know what, I don't care. I'd be lost without them.

/Raven's motherly nostalgia

Elz memtioned that Don has started writing a journal about Judy entitled "Memories of my Dear Wife, Judy". He's written about ten or so pages thus far. I wonder if he's doing this because his memory is not what it used to be. Even Judy used to worry about his memory. At any rate it's a very touching thing to do.

And these three weeks later yet another blaring reminder that Judy is gone happened a few days ago. Mer was sick and had to stay home. Usually we'd call over to Judy and she'd watch the boy(s) all day. Not any more, now we must take off work. Judy certianly is missed and I wish I had a scanned picture of her to share, but our scanner is not working at the moment. Some day I'll find a way to post a picture of her.

Oh ya, about the picture of the plant. I bought this critter cuz I was smitten with the leaves. They're so colourful and when a new one "blooms" it's rolled up tight, almost looks like a drinking straw then slowly uncurls.

Anyhoo, this plant Sleeps. No really, at night its leaves stand straight up and during the day they relax and fan out once more. Hence the picture of a sleeping plant. ^^

I wish

I could stop counting time in incriments of how long I've lived without Judy. Two weeks that's how long. Why can't I get over her absence?

She came home today, Don brought her ashes home. Her request was to have them scattered but I still can't let go. This seems so absurbed, I wasn't this affected when mine own brother passed away. Plus the fact that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month has not made getting over Judy any easier.

I have my follow up mammogram on Monday to moniter the lumps in my left breast. Ensure that they haven't increased in mass. I'm sure they haven't and I'll only leave with REALLLLY sore and abused tissue like I did six months ago.

I also wish I have my cell phone back but it's being used as the At Home Phone for the boys. No one ever calls me, so again its rather dumb I miss having it with me. When will this hurting and loniness pass.

LMAO - KY Jelly

I love Christopher Lee.

Did you know he's 6'5"! Holy crap! *sighs dreamily* yaaaa, I love this man.

One week

My first week without Judy, of which I still cried for the most part but it's getting easier. I miss her so much it hurts bone deep but I have to keep thinking at least she's no longer hurting.

Judy's death has also forced our boys to grow up just a bit faster. They now must look out for one another. We're trusting them to be alone now after school and we're also having to buy another phone for the house.

Whimsicalnbrainpan Thank you for the Hugs. I really needed them. *hugs back*

You know what the worst part about Judy's death. Being alone with no one to share my sadness with. I had to "Keep it" together so as not to upset the boys any more than they already where. I didn't have anyone to cry with which was probably why I've cried myself to sleep too many times this last week. I just miss Judy.

It was hard to keep holding on to her hand while she died, I wanted to talk to her more, I wanted to keep her here, I didn't want her to die. But she did, she was tired and her family told me it was what she wanted which I wonder why they even asked me what I thought when they'd already made up their minds.

It made me angery when they wanted the alarms shut off on the monitering equipment because then they had to listen to her death. Well guess what folks, when death is occuring and you want to watch you're going to have to listen to it as well. Death is not a silent movie, its very real, it's not pretty and you all agreed to let her die. Listening to the macheriny should have been a small price to pay to let her go.

But I kept the alarms quiet, when they'd go off because her heart skipped a beat, or when her heart became slower, the rate wider, her breathing shallower and the CO2 levels kept rising. I kept my mouth shut and the monitors quiet.

I guess I'm still angry but in the end, its no one's fault. Its just the business of death and currently, an incurable disease.

After Ten years of fighting Cancer, Judy lost the fight.

I just feel empty inside. Empty and tired.
