Six Years Later

I don't think I've mentioned of late how much I absolutley love my boys. They are my pride.

I know, I know, probably when I was about Mer's age I'd roll my eyes at such fluffy expressions, but it's true. They're the reason I get up and live.

Clan Pena! Circa 2001'ish(?)

and Clan Pena Circa: This morning! Can't ya just see it in their bearing, "Mom's doing it agian, taking *yet* another Picture."

But you know what, I don't care. I'd be lost without them.

/Raven's motherly nostalgia

Elz memtioned that Don has started writing a journal about Judy entitled "Memories of my Dear Wife, Judy". He's written about ten or so pages thus far. I wonder if he's doing this because his memory is not what it used to be. Even Judy used to worry about his memory. At any rate it's a very touching thing to do.

And these three weeks later yet another blaring reminder that Judy is gone happened a few days ago. Mer was sick and had to stay home. Usually we'd call over to Judy and she'd watch the boy(s) all day. Not any more, now we must take off work. Judy certianly is missed and I wish I had a scanned picture of her to share, but our scanner is not working at the moment. Some day I'll find a way to post a picture of her.

Oh ya, about the picture of the plant. I bought this critter cuz I was smitten with the leaves. They're so colourful and when a new one "blooms" it's rolled up tight, almost looks like a drinking straw then slowly uncurls.

Anyhoo, this plant Sleeps. No really, at night its leaves stand straight up and during the day they relax and fan out once more. Hence the picture of a sleeping plant. ^^

Well Thankfully! It was a 24 hour bug thing which Imp Boy caught the next day and once more Elz got to stay home - and do laundry.

I'm rather smitten with the Pena boys even if I do say so myself. ^^

I'm not sure I'm ready to write about Judy Memories just yet. I still expect to pull into my driveway and have her come out on her deck to say Hello! Or give me the "Judy report" on how the boys did on their homework and how much they've eaten at her house and how I probably won't need to fix them a full meal.

Although I did learn a fact from Don, her and her brother had been abandoned in a garbage dumpster just after they were born. It explains much on why she had such fear of Not being wanted by any one.
