Alrighty-roo... Attached to my purse on the left is the Blue Ribbon that was tied around a Blue Rose ma Hubby gave me when we first met! *awwwwwwww*licks ma hubby*

Above that is Raven's back up for when Raven is being a goldfish and manages to lock her keys itn the car accidently locks her keys in Luka, its the spare remote opener for Luka cuz I'm hardly ever without my purse. Attached to the other side of my purse is a little "Paw Power" thingie Dame gave me that he bought at school, because they're the "Sweeny Cougars!" *rawwwrrrr* Go Paw Power! :D

Under that if you can see it is an animal tag that I had stamped with the year and month I bought Artemis. It says "Artemis" on one side and "5-05" on the other. *pets kitty* I want to get another tag for the kittens cuz according to the Vet, he put their birthdays in May as well. ^_^'

Under my purse are my sunglasses - Ray bans baby! under the glasses is the pouch that holds my Zune ear buds.

Next row, is my comb, I know it's really a pick but it's the only thing that gets through my hair. Under that is my small collection of cards, like bank account cards, other folk's business cards, Insurance cards, blah, blah, blah...

Under that are Raven's business cards. It took Raven over 14 years!!!! to get my own cards. Sticky notes used to be my business cards always writing down my name and number so then I finally bitched whined that I'd been there long enough I need my own cards! Damnit! Gimme some cards! So now that I've got them, I think I've used three of them. >.>'

Under the all important Raven Business cards is the carrying case for my stupid splint so I can take it out to eat or drink anything that isn't water; then my Cell Phone aka my $75.00 watch because no one calls me. =(

Next are some freebie movie tickets and free popcorn! Yay! Then my pen and scribble paper for when I find a word I want to use at some point and/or look up in the dictionary. The Pen is in the way of the word I wrote down, it's "Ossuary".

Under that, the red square is actually my change purse. These are hard to find, at least around here, I bought this YEEEAARRRSSSSS ago, I don't even think Dame was born yet. o_O To open it you sorta open it by lifting a corner and it opens from the center, unfolds sort like a box.

Under that is my drug box! Rees bought this for me, it's wooden and slides open and holds about 4 cut up tables. Then what respectable (former) EMT doesn't carry some form of bandage(s)?

Then! Raven's Zune!

Next row!

Hair rubber band, a MUST for hot blooded Raven, gotta get the hair off my neck! Under that is my Glasses cleaning cloth, then my rarely used lipstick (the orange colored one Fae! ^_^) then a little flashlight Elz gave me and of course tweezers. >.>'

Last but not least Carmex because wearing the splint dries out my lips something awful! then a rock Mer gave me and a blue stone Dame bought me, and a talisman Rees made for me for good health.

Yes that is a Greek flag! It's there in the first picture but only lived in Raven's purse for today because Rees and I went to the Greek Festival! YAyyyyy! I finally got to goooooo! Loved it! Makes me want to go back!!!! GO BACK NOW! and see my Hubby again!

The food was sooooooo goood! I should have bought the music CD but I didn't have any more tickets and it was a pain to get tickets to begin with so ya, no CD.

I am sure they are sick and tired of hearing me bemoan over at LJ so I'll do it here! Aren't you all lucky.

I had PT today, I keep thinking it's Tuesday because that's when I usually do PT. How is PT going you ask? I will tell you.

My range of motion for my neck has improved like thousand fold. I can actually bend it forwards, okay I can't do it often nor for very long without getting too dizzy. But this is great news because it means my cervical vertbra are moving back where they belong *yay!*

But as for the TMD/Muscles there has been very little improvment, more like 5% improvment. I still cannot open wider than 20mm so my therapist has been getting down into the TMJ and forcing the muscles and joints to move and open and which leaves me with a great deal of soreness, pain and headaches for the rest of the day.

Thank goodness for pain meds. THANK GOODNESS!

Still I'm schedule tomorrow for injections directly into the muscles. This sounds really painful and I am and am not looking forwards to it. I am because maybe I'll get greater pain relief, NOT looking forwards because duh! Hello! Injections directly into the muscles.

Which is why I missed out on Mute Monday. Too tired right now.

In other news,

Today is Elz's and mine anniversary! *tosses confetti!* Eighteen years and we haven't killed the other yet. :D

I shall try and post here more often.

They had their first set of shot yesterday, they did great and had the folks at the vets cooing and making all sorts of silly noises. ^_^

They are about 8 weeks old, each weight just about a pound and I think they are teething because they CHEW ON EVERYTHING!!! Including Raven! >.<'

And they are Not Troll Snacks! Besides they're too little and all fur, you'll get fur stuck between your teeth.

Le gasp! An Update

Aside from being summer Raven's been preoccupied with PT. Even thought I'm only going once a week for treatment, it seems to be all I can concentrate on.

I'm still wearing the splint, still hate it. It's been just a month since I got it and I'm finding it hard to keep wearing it. Meaning not physically, just I don't see how it's helping but the draw back, I've worn it long enough to *Need* to wear it. After a while it hurts just as much to wear it and it does not to wear it. So ya, am stuck with it.

So a bit of good news! The Iontophoresis is working!

Can you see the difference? So much inflammation that it even caused my glasses to be cutting into the sides of my head and had my face appearing more rounder than it really is. There is still swelling in lower part of my jaw but not nearly so much any more around the joints themselves.

Now I don't really know the kenitics behind it, but basically there are two pads, one that contians a lidocain and an ant-inflamatory med which is somehow driven into the joint with the use of a second pad that is electrified like a TENS machine.

They did one side because the pads are so large they cover half my face and this has not been done for TMD, according to my therapist it usually used for the larger joints like, knee, shoulder, elbow and not usually the TMJ. So this is all experimental. But it was working! The inflammation reduced greatly! The pain as well...

But as I've learned, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

When they treated my right side the medicaided pad burned my face, created a sore in my skin and my therapist said, no more.

Now I realize I am their only second patient EVER to be treated for bilateral dysfunction but it's the story of my life as far as seeking pain relief. I get my hopes up only to have some sort of snafu bring it to a grinding halt. No more Iontophoresis for Raven.

It's back to ultrasound and icepacks which I don't see any progression. With the Iontophoresis my bit opening improved, it increased from 16mm to 20mm and now I have topped off at 20mm. The muscles simply will not allow for further increase.

Added to it my therapist keeps asking if my docs is going to go through with the surgery. She's disappointed my opening is not improving and she's running out of options to get it to open further.

My doc on the other hand really does not want to resort to surgery until it is the absolute last resort. Which I can understand but again, its not him dealing with the wait and pain and this stupid splint! There are both pros and cons for the surgery but in the end it's the doc who has the final say and I can only keep waiting.

My next appointment with the doc - who is not my usual doc - has scheduled me for injections directly into the muscles - again another mixture of pain meds and an anti-inflamation in hopes of getting the muscles to stop working against me and allow the bit to increase.

So there's Raven's excuse for not posting more. Lame I know but the truth.

Because basically I forgot I even had this feature, Semagic that is.

So Raven is trying to figure it out again, posting to both LJ and Blogger.

Summer heat is very unkind to Raven's feet. Must pamper and soak them practically every night to keep the heel cracking under control.

I know I've been scarce of late, too much RL woes to catch up on.
