Mute Monday! Roll Model

IT's Mute Monday: The Roll Model

This was an easy one for me, since I was a Volunteer EMT-I for just under 10 years, these folks are my roll models. They work just about 24/7/365 because they *want* to. Just like me they are/were trauma junkies whether; it be a mid afternoon run or those ghod awful midnight run with a frequent flyer or a MVA trauma scene you'd just rather forget ever happened, the OD, to the domestic call that involves kids, I salute EMS personel.

+ + + + + + +

Have a great Monday all!

There's a group of people I admire greatly because of the importance of the job and the fact that it's something I could never do.

Great pics. Great choice. They/you don't get near enough credit. Happy Mute Monday!

I Am Not:
I loved it when I was still able to go on calls. At times I miss it and I don't regret a second of it.
Happy MM to you!

Artfulsub:
I agree they don't, they're there with the Firefighters and yet get over looked at times.
Happy MM right back at ya! ^^

What a great choice! Truly unsung heroes...and speaking of singing Bobby Sherman is an EMT, somewhere in California.

Great post. Sobering, too, because it's so easy to take for granted these dedicated folks who work the front lines of personal disaster.

Kate:
Ooookay I admit, I had to Google Bobby Sherman. He was kinda cute when he was younger and rather handsome older gentleman. Yayyyy for celebrity EMTs! Happy MM to you!!!

Moi:
There are some Medics I worked with that just blew me away, their professionalism and natural charaisma around patients. I never wanted to be a Paramedic, I was very happy with my Intermediate status simply because I had a thing for those needles. >.>' Was never squimish about sticking folks no matter how much they winced.
Happy MM to ya!

She:
I hear ya! The range of emotions from the public folk towards EMTs when they appear on scene is truly amazing. I know its mainly fear and anger that have folks say what they say so it's really touching when those same folks come back and actually say "Thank you". :DD

Happy MM to you as well!
